The first season of the Ultimate League is all set to begin this weekend, and it consists of 10 teams playing each other both home and away over a period of 18 weeks. Here's some information on the league before we get started. Because matches take quite some time to write they'll be written at various intervals over each weekend. Some will be done on Saturdays, others Sundays and some possibly Mondays or Tuesdays. I'll try and get a set routine together so you know when your matches are, but at the moment I can't give you an exact date regarding when your matches will happen. Topics for posting your team sheets, tactics and so on will also appear in this board. Simply reply to the topic with the necessary information. If you can't do it one week or for whatever reason don't post a team sheet you'll have one assigned for you. And finally, winnings. 1st place - £30 million 2nd place - £20 million 3rd place - £10 million 4th place - £5 million 5th place - £2 million 6th place - £1 million 7th place - £750,000 8th place - £500,000 9th place - £250,000 10th place - £100,000 If you have any questions or problems feel free to reply to this topic.

Indeed, finishing in the top 3 is where the money's at, hopefully once most people have a lot of money we'll see some really flashy transfers. I think the most expensive one so far has been £3.8 million, eventually we should come to expect Robinho-style transfers.

Yeah I was thinking about that. Like if someone wins 30 Million, they will be able to spend 10 Million on players who are not worth 10 Million etc.
Mind you given the financial position everyone are in now it will be interesting.

yeah lol its interesting - it reflects real life footie in a way. I remember Pallister joining Man United for a record £2m and Fergie got slated "for risking so much money on a lanky defender with no pace". hehe At the end of this season things should really start getting interesting

One question. Where do we post our tactics for the matches?

In this board for league games, for each match I'll make a topic for the two managers to post their tactics and team sheets. For friendly games you post them in the friendly sub-board, and the same thing happens there - a topic is created and you reply with your tactics.
