*Tiano Silva wants to impress his new manager on Wearside*
Two More New Faces as Keane Chases Glory
Sunderland manager Roy Keane today announced yet another two new signigs for the Black Cats - with Mavi Sonbahar and Tiano Silva joining the new faces on the banks of the river Wear.
"With these two, we have signed a fantastic midfielder and a potent striker - we are delighted to welcome them both to the club with open arms" Keane told the Sunderland Echo.
And the new boys echoed their manager's statement - praising each other, their new club and the other new boys in Sunderland.
"This club is destined to be going places this season", Tiano Silva told the Echo following on from his bargain £1.9m transfer from Duff Warriors.
"The fans here are a real asset too. It is a cliche that the support is half of the team, but here that is really a fact - the crowd stand by their team through thick and thin, and I hope to repay that on behalf of the club with my performances over the coming months."
Roy Keane now claims that his side are prepared for some silverwear at the end of the season.
"Of course we are, yeah." Keane stated confidently when asked about his side's prospects.
"We have the best Goalkeeper in the world in Craig Smith, and one of the best defenders in the world in Marcus Swaney. Barham and Silva will make up the core of the midfield, and with Zurich and Kipp up front I honestly feel we have one of the strongest teams in the league today, if not THE strongest."
One thing is for sure - the fans are clammering for some action, and they want to see their new players' resolve tested against Liverpool later today.
"This will be quite a test for us, but one I am confident we can pass with flying colours."
