Signing a player is a relatively simple process, but be aware of the competition you may face from other managers. If your offer is met by a better one from another club chances are the player will go there, so keep an eye on any transfers you wish to make.
To make a signing on a free transfer check out the Free Transfer Database and find the player you want. Then hit the reply button and either fill out the following form or put something similar in your post:
Once you and any other managers have submitted an offer the player will decide if he will sign for you, the opposition or refuse any contracts altogether. If he signs with your team you may then roleplay with him if you wish, but while he is a free agent he will choose who he signs for himself.
Attempting to sign a player from another club involves a similar process. Once again create a new topic in this board with something similar to the following title: "*Manager Name:* Transfer Offer" This will alert the manager of the player you're trying to sign. Then fill out the following form (or put something similar in your post):
If the manager accepts the offer you can then open negotiations with the player, so click the 'reply' button and use the same method used for attempting to sign a player in the free transfer database:
The player will then decide whether or not he wants to join your club, and if he does the funds will be transferred from your bank balance to that of the other manager.
