Chelsea have revealed that John Terry's sending off against Manchester City last week has been overturned ;D this is great news for me as a Chelsea fan as JT will now be avalible for our match against Manchester United at the weekend, Was the FA right to overturn JT's red card? I think so.

Without question they were right yeah. Don't get me wrong - it was a definite foul, and it did deserve maybe a booking at worse, but a straight red was ridiculous for that - especially when Vidic would have been booked for his foul in his match (see my post about that for those that haven't seen what happened).

I dont understand about the ref saying it was "Serious foul play and belonged on a Rugby pitch" I thought that was very strange, the ref was a tosser though, we should of had a penalty aswell when Anelka was blatently pushed over.

I dont understand about the ref saying it was "Serious foul play and belonged on a Rugby pitch" In fairness it did resemble more of a rugby tackle than a football tackle, but I do agree that he shouldn't have been sent of and I'm glad he got the red card decision overturned. Despite the fact the tackle probably did belong on a rugby pitch it wasn't exactly dangerous, plus Jo made a meal out of it too. The Vidic tackle on the other hand should have definitely been a straight red. Karma bit him in the arse eventually anyway and he got a second yellow, but he only has a one match ban rather than the three he deserves for the professional foul on Robbie Keane.

The Vidic foul WAS the second booking, so the karma took just seconds to act but bottom line is exactly what you say - it should have been a straight red instead of a second booking, resulting in a 3 match ban.

Either way our team is completely f**ked for the Chelsea match It was a rugby tackle, you have to accept that but maybe not a red. Saying that, Terry was the last defender and denied Jo and goalscoring opportunity. Vidic was NOT the last defender as Ferdinand was there to tackle, still it was a shameful tackle from Vidic.

Ferdinand was nowhere near it - Vidic was the last man without a doubt However, with Chelsea, I think Carvalho had Terry sufficiently covered - though with Jo's pace he possibly could have gotta past RC as well, but I wouldn't class Terry as the last man as such, whereas Vidic most definitely was. But yeah I do agree - it WAS more of a rugby tackle lol I hadn't thought of it that way before.

Ricci Cavrvalho is emmence Jo wouldnt of got passed him. I think the Vidic is a 50 / 50 after the silly tackle on Keane I think everyone knew if it was not going to be a red, he would eventually get one and he did. Vidic is awesome but tends to lose his head.

I think if Terry's was a straight red then Vidic's should of been a DEFINATE straight red.

Hmm inconsistant Refereeing, Mark Halsey who sent Terry off was demoted to league 2 for this weekend ! Good that means he wont be refing the Chelsea vs United game.

Bottom line - I hate Chelsea (not on here). And hating other teams is basically in the spirit of the game, many many more people are out there. And if you don't want my hate comments on the site, you may as well not have me on the site either.
